IABS (Indonesian- Australian Business Summit)
On May 13, 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Investment (BKPM), in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Canberra, the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne, and the Bank Indonesia Beijing Representative, hosted the Indonesia-Australia Business Summit (IABS) 2024 at the Victoria State Library in Melbourne.
IABS 2024 featured a keynote address by H.E. Bahlil Lahadalia, Indonesian Minister of Investment. He emphasized the increasing interest of Australian investors in Indonesia's electric vehicle and mining industry downstream sectors, renewable energy investment funds, and education sector.
The minister assured that Indonesia offers significant growth and partnership opportunities, making it an attractive destination for Australian investments.
The event also included valuable insights and perspectives from Dr. Siswo Pramono (Indonesian Ambassador to Canberra), Mr. Francois De Maricourt (President Director of @hsbc_id), Peter Horn (General Manager for @austradeofficial), and Mr. Doni P. Joewono (Deputy Governor of @bank_indonesia).
IABS 2024 attracted over 100 participants from various Australian government entities, business sectors, associations, and academic institutions. We eagerly anticipate the successful collaborations and investments that will arise from this summit.
