Establishing a Representative Office
Establishing a Representative Office Foreign Representative Office is an office incorporated by an oversease company to represent themselves in Indonesia. Opening a KPPA is a suitable option for companies wishing to do market research or conduct feasibility studies in Indonesia. As one of the requirements to establish or extend a Representative Office (KPPA), please complete this form below, and we will review all the supporting documents and let you know within 3 (three) working days once the Letter of Reference is ready to collect.
REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE
To set up new/renew/amendment for KPPA, follow these steps:
UDPATE Documents needed are as follows:
- Letter of Appointment (LoA) of Chief of Representative
- Letter of Intent (LoI)
- Letter of Statement (LoS) from Chief of Representative that he/she will reside in Indonesia and will not engage in other business activities (if the Chief of Representative is
- Indonesian, the LoS must be signed with stamp/'materai')
In order to obtain an apostille for those documents you need to have them certified, signed and sealed by an Australian notary public. The sealed documents then need to be submitted to DFAT to obtain a certificate or stamp in the form of an 'authentication' or a apostille which is signed by DFAT staff and sealed with a wet and a dry seal.
Please provide the following documents:
- A request letter addressed to “Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Sydney”
- Certificate of Registration of a company from the Australian Securities and Investment Commissions (ASIC) / New Zealand Companies Office legalised by a public notary
- Current Company Extract from the Australian Securities and Investment Commissions (ASIC) / New Zealand Companies Office legalized by a public notary
- Bank Reference Letter issued by Australian/New Zealand bank to confirm that banking relationship has been acceptable with details of account of company (account balance is not
- required) Attention to: The Indonesian Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Sydney Suite 6, Level 30, Governor Macquarie Tower 1 Farrer Place, Sydney, NSW 2000
- Power of Attorney if the application is not done by the head of company
- For renewal or amendment of license, please send along:
- Current valid KPPA licence issued by BKPM
- KPPA activities report (latest LKPM submission)
- Other supporting documents in relation to the amendment
The process will take up to 5 working days. During that processing time, we will contact one of your Company’s Leader to get to know your company and discuss your plan in Indonesia.
Upon issuance of Letter of Reference, softcopy will be sent to your email. You may collect the original document at our office or we can mail it to you if you provide us with your details.
